The exhibition of scientific and technical achievements «Belarus Intellectual» started its work at the National Exhibition Center «BelExpo» in Minsk. The event was organized by order of the President of Belarus, and on the first day of its work aroused great interest among the citizens and guests of Minsk.

Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, representatives of educational institutions, public and private research organizations of the country will present their achievements and developments. All in all more than 400 exhibits are on display at the exhibition.

The State Committee on Science and Technologies presented the section «Commercialization of Developments».

As Tatyana Stolyarova, Deputy Chairperson of the SCST, told, visitors to the section have the opportunity to trace the entire life cycle of innovations: from the birth of advanced scientific developments to their transfer to the real sector of the economy and the social sphere.

The section includes expositions of organizations subordinated to the SCST, which present a number of information systems. Along with this, the advanced developments of individual residents of scientific and technological parks of Belarus are demonstrated.

Among the most interesting ones is the information complex of telemedicine diagnostics «Examination+». It allows assessing a person's condition and determining the fact of taking narcotic and other drugs. If necessary, additional medical equipment can be connected to it to expand its functionality. The complex is already in use at the unitary enterprise «MINGAS».

Another interesting development is the disinfection arch with ramps. It helps to recognize in advance the symptoms of viral diseases in crowded places (airports, train stations, administrative buildings, industrial plants, shopping centers, cafes, bars, restaurants, etc.) and, as a consequence, to prevent further spread of the disease. Currently, the arch is used in two medical institutions of Belarus, the business centers «Great Stone» and «Titan», the Grodno Vegetable Factory.

A sample of the walking simulator «STEP» designed for rehabilitation of patients with severe diseases of the lower limbs is also demonstrated. The simulators are used in medical institutions of Belarus.

In addition to full-scale samples, the residents of the technology parks presented multimedia presentations on software development: «Digital twin of an agricultural enterprise» and «Digital livestock breeding»; technology of medical image analysis using artificial intelligence in mammology «Faust veiw»; software for managing robotic complexes; online management system of intelligent cottage settlement (apartment buildings) and self-organizing distributed network for information transfer.

Financial instruments to support innovation activities are represented by the Belarusian Innovation Fund.

There is a consultation point on intellectual property issues. There are consultations on preparing an application for a trademark, industrial design, demonstrates the work of the AIS «Internet portal for electronic filing applications for industrial property». Visitors may also take an interactive «Do you know Intellectual Property?» quiz. Participants are given flyers, which provide a discount on courses at the National Intellectual Property Center.

The Republican Scientific and Technical Library demonstrates the information resources of scientific and technical information in the on-line mode.  Among them are databases of their own generation, placed on the institution's portal on certain areas, such as applied science, engineering and technology, intellectual property.

The exhibition of scientific and technical achievements «Belarus Intellectual» will last till January 22 and is open for all comers. Admission is free.
