Since 2024, the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) has joined the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) project in the field of Pharmaceutical Registry (EAPO Pharm Registry).

This register is an information and search resource that includes information on Eurasian patents related to active pharmaceutical ingredients that have been assigned international non-proprietary names (INN). They are registered on the territory of the Eurasian Patent Convention (EAPC) member countries.

The EAPO Pharmaceutical Registry includes information on patents on the basis of which pharmacologically active substances (chemical compounds, including those described by a common structural formula, biotechnological products, compositions and combinations of pharmacologically active substances), methods of obtaining pharmacologically active substances and their medical applications are protected. It also contains relevant information on the legal status of the corresponding patents in the EAPC member states, license agreements concluded, as well as on registration certificates for medicinal products issued by the authorized bodies of these states.

The information prepared by NCIP on the legal status of Belarusian patents and license agreements, as well as on the owners of the respective exclusive rights, will be systematically included in the EAPO Pharm Registry.
