EAPO patent of the month: oil production without leaks

The new development of scientists representing the Institute of Control Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan, protected by a Eurasian patent for an invention, makes it possible to simplify the process of monitoring the condition of oil production equipment.

The proposed and patented method is based on a constant algorithm that allows to calculate the formation fluid leakage based on temperature measurements at the wellhead of the tubing, pressure at the flow line of the well, and at three selected points of the tubing.

The developed technology makes it possible to increase the accuracy of measuring diagnostic parameters, is extremely convenient and does not require the installation of additional complex equipment on the pump units. Leaks in the downhole pumping unit, which maintains the formation pressure of oil wells, are automatically detected using this development.
