WIPO's 2023 International SME Awards Program

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has opened the call for applications for the 2023 Global Awards Program and is inviting applications from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from around the world that use innovation and creativity from intellectual property (IP) in an exceptional way to achieve business goals and enhance the well-being of society.

The WIPO 2023 Global Awards competition is open to SMEs working in any field of business activity: creative industries, local or international brands, innovative technology providers and others.

An independent jury of recognized experts will select up to seven winners from a shortlist of 20 candidates based on a set of criteria, including successful IP commercialization and a positive contribution to public welfare.

Winners will receive personalized mentoring to help them implement their IP strategies, including fundraising assistance, partnership opportunities and promotional support. The winners will be presented with their prizes at a ceremony at WIPO headquarters in Geneva, on the sidelines of the WIPO General Assembly in July 2023.
