WIPO specialized course «Patents: Basic Concepts» is open for enrollment»

Belarusian intellectual property experts have the opportunity to register for the WIPO Academy's free specialized training course - DL170R – «Patents: Basic Concepts». The course enables participants to appreciate the role of inventions in creating the prerequisites for effective technology development and transfer. This course is an introductory course and precedes practical training on the topic of patent protection.

The course will cover the following issues:

• the international patent system and its macroeconomic importance;
• the patent application process;
• types of intellectual property protection depending on types of invention;
• legal issues of the patenting process;
• rights protection;
• Intellectual property and promotion of development: flexibilities and public domain under patent laws.

At the end of the training there is an opportunity for self-testing and receiving a set of presentation materials. The training is conducted in Russian.
