The international seminar «IP and SDGs: building our common future with innovation and creativity» dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day will be held on April 23, 2024.

The event is organized by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus (SCST) and the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The seminar will focus on the key aspects of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the benefit of the society and the state, as well as using intellectual property as an effective tool for promoting national interests in the context of the Year of Quality.

During this event, presentations will be made by the representatives of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the State Committee on Science and Technology, the Belarusian Association of Patent Attorneys, as well as leading experts from NCIP and WIPO.

The seminar program includes a plenary session and a workshop (training cases), following which all the participants will be issued certificates.
