On December 28, 2022, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NAS of Belarus) hosted the awarding ceremony of the winners of the intellectual property contest «Discovering the World of Intellectual Property» among schoolchildren.


An agreement between the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) and the Gomel State University named after Frantsysk Skaryna (GSU) on establishment of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) was signed on November 17, 2022, in Gomel. The agreement was signed by NCIP’s Director General Uladzimir Rabavolau and Rector of the Skaryna State University Siarhei Khakhomau.


On November 19 at 11:00 a.m. the third stage of the competition «Discovering the World of Intellectual Property» will start. The theme of the lecture and presentation is «What is intellectual property? Part 3» (brand names, trademarks, geographical indications, rights to means of individualization, use of means of individualization, protective documents).


In order to consolidate the Belarusian people, strengthen the ideas of peace and creative work in society as the main conditions for the development of the Belarusian state, the President of the Republic of Belarus declared 2023 the Year of Peace and Creation. The head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the corresponding decree No. 1 on 1 January 2023.


On October 20, 2022, within the opening of the II International Scientific Conference «Intellectual Property in the Modern World: Challenges of Time and Prospects for Development», the winners of the contest among young people for the best work in the field of intellectual property 2021/2022 were awarde


On October 1, 2022, the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) launched the automated information system «Internet-portal for electronic filing of applications for industrial property « (the system), which allows applicants to apply for protection documents for industrial property using the Internet.

Services and information

On November 21 - 24, 2022, the National Center of Intellectual Property will hold a «Patent Information and Patent Research» training course in a hybrid format (in-person and online).


From January to September of 2022 the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) provided services with respect to 120 copyright objects including 80 computer programs and 40 other works. This period is marked by a gradual increase in the number of deposited objects.


The Pharmaceutical Register of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO Pharmacovigilance Register) is an information and search resource containing information about patents for inventions related to pharmacologically active substances with international nonproprietary names (INN).


From January 1, 2023, the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) will implement the Procedure of Electronic Exchange of Documents under the Eurasian Patent Procedure (the Procedure).


On December 16, 2022, the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property will hold the 4th International Conference of Young Scientists «Intellectual Property: a Look into the Future» in a hybrid format.


On December 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. a round table on «Practical aspects and peculiarities of obtaining a Eurasian patent for invention and a Eurasian patent for industrial design» will take place by videoconference. The event will be organized by the Eurasian Patent Office in cooperation with the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property.
