The 5th International Scientific and Practical Round Table «Intellectual Property Law: History and Prospects»

On September 15, 2026, the Faculty of Law at Belarusian State University (BSU) will host the 5th International Academic and Practical Round Table on «Intellectual Property Law: History and Prospects».

The National Center of Intellectual Property is the co-organizer of the event (in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between the NCIP and BSU).

Academics, practitioners, lecturers and young researchers (undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD candidates) are invited to participate.

The focus of the discussion:

• current issues in the theory of intellectual property law;
• the systematisation or codification of intellectual property legislation;
• comparative legal studies in the field of intellectual property law;
• issues relating to copyright and related rights in the context of the development of modern information and communication technologies;
• the provision of legal protection for industrial property rights;
• specific features of the legal protection of new intangible objects;
• artificial intelligence and intellectual property law;
• the protection of intellectual property rights: theory and practice;
• international legal protection of intellectual property rights.

The format of participation is hybrid (in-person and online). Following the round-table discussion, a collection of academic articles is planned to be published in the BSU digital library (posted in the Russian Science Citational Index (RINC).
