A regular meeting of the Recommendation and Advisory Council under NCIP was held

On February 27, 2023 at the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) under the chairmanship of Irina Dorofeeva, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus, Associate Professor of the Variety Art Department of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, a regular meeting of the Recommendation and Advisory Council (RAC) under NCIP was held.

The meeting was attended by Honored and People's Artists of the Republic of Belarus, composers, poets, producers, representatives of state bodies and others.

The main topic of the meeting was to summarize the results of NCIP activities as a collective management organization for 2023.

During the meeting, Konstantin Galimov, Head of the Copyright and Related Rights Department of NCIP, noted that «2023 was a productive year for NCIP. The total amount of copyright remuneration received by the National Center amounted to 8.7 million Belarusian rubles, which is more than 23.4% higher than in 2022. Also in 2023 there was a growth in almost all indicators compared to 2022».

In addition, the members of the RAC were provided with information on the work to involve users of works in contractual relations. Andrei Luchenok, Head of the Rights Protection Division of the Copyright and Related Rights Department, made a relevant presentation.

RAC members praised NCIP for its work in 2023.
