In frames of the seminar "Development of Technology and Innovation Support Centers Network in Belarus. Role of Geographical Indications for the Protection of National Brands", the awarding ceremony was held for the Belarusian winners and diploma holders of the "Look into the Future" Universiade.

Belarus took two 1st, five 2nd and one 3rd place. Fourteen participants were awarded diplomas. It was a success that became possible due to the active support of the National Center of Intellectual Property.

Damir Ulosevich, a student of Minsk Gymnasium No. 40, told about his development, which won 1st place in the contest.

“I wrote a paper on making parchment paper production. It is completely biodegradable and has the best hydrophobic properties. To begin with, we researched parchment paper products in Belarus and learned that, in fact, parchment paper is not produced at any factory in our country. Later, we studied the composition of parchment paper and learned that it contains silicone, which is not completely biodegradable. As a result, we made biodegradable parchment paper, submitted the project to a competition, and I won,” he shared. “This is a very high evaluation of my work, which gives a good incentive to move forward.”
