NCIP took part in IP Rights Student Interest Group session

The Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University hosted an IP Rights Student Interest Group session dedicated to the topic of copyright objects.

The National Center of Intellectual Property was represented by Katsiaryna Yantikava, Head of the Division of Copyright and Related Rights Legislation of the Legal and Human Resources Department, as a speaker.

The event touched upon the issues of ascertaining the fact of creating a derivative work in the process of the original developing and finalizing by the author, respecting the rights of authors in frames of derivative works creating. Also a new depositing possibility for notifying about authorship and proving the existence of a work on a certain date was also highlighted.

NCIP’s participation in the named event is another step in the process of IP popularization in frames of the signed Memorandum of Understanding.
