Unified Information Day held at the NCIP

On August 20, 2026, the National Centre of Intellectual Property (the NCIP) hosted the Unified Information Day on the theme «Environmental Culture – responsibility of every individual».
As part of the event, Anastasia Demidenko, Head of the Biology and Chemistry Division of the Industrial Property Examination Department, spoke about the current state of biodiversity in Belarus and ways to implement environmental safety measures in the country.
During the discussion, participants addressed issues relating to water conservation, improving the environmental quality of living spaces, the transition to a circular economy, and separate waste collection. Particular attention was paid to the amendments to Law No. 361-Z of the Republic of Belarus of 1 April 2024 В«On the Responsible Treatment of AnimalsВ», which introduced fundamentally new regulations that have changed approaches to the treatment of animals.

Unified Information Days are held on the third Thursday of every month, focusing on topics determined by the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus, with the aim of ensuring that citizens enjoy their constitutional right to full and accurate information regarding the activities of state bodies and other organisations, as well as to explain state policy and encourage citizens to participate in its implementation.
