On January 31, 2022, as part of the webinar "Organization of the activities of Technology and Innovation Support Centers and current issues of protection and management of intellectual property rights", an agreement was signed on the establishment of the 17th Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) in Belarus at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The corresponding agreement was signed by Director General of the National Center of the Intellectual Property (NCIP) Uladzimir Rabavolau and Director of the Center of System Analysis and Strategic Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Valery Goncharov.

During the webinar, issues of copyright for works of science, support for innovations and development of the TISC network in the Republic of Belarus were discussed, and an assessment was made of the feasibility of choosing the optimal form of legal protection for the results of intellectual activity. From the NCIP, the event was attended by: Deputy General Director Aliaxandr Zayats, Head of the Industrial Property Examination Department Elena Usacheva, Head of the Division of Registration and Promotion of Industrial Property Commercialization Dmitry Andrievsky, Head of the Division of Copyrights and Related Rights Legislation of the Legal and Human Resources Department Ekaterina Yantikova.

The event was also attended by the Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Andrey Ivanets.

The seminar aroused particular interest among young scientists of the system of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the NCIP.

It should be noted that there are already sixteen TISCs in Belarus and their further development will make it possible to provide organizations with information about modern information technologies that contribute to increasing labor productivity, increasing the quality and competitiveness of products, and switching to a new technological order.
