The World Intellectual Property Organization published a report on the situation in intellectual property in the world: digitalization is driving innovation in today's world, green technology needs a reset.

The world's swift response to the COVID-19 pandemic is an example of the rapid adaptation of innovation to changing priorities and climate change which requires urgent action must be tackled just as effectively. The report also covers the complex sets of solutions determining the vector of innovation improving our lives.

The report concludes that while innovation is intrinsic to humanity, its outcomes are not predetermined: the innovation vector is determined by a combination of diverse actions by entrepreneurs, scientists, consumers and policymakers, and society's needs can change very rapidly, as the rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has proven.
