From March 1, 2024, the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has changed the international fees for PCT international applications.

For reference:
The fees provided for in the international phase for filing an international application include a transmittal fee, an international filing fee and an international search fee.

The transmittal fee shall be paid in favor of the receiving Office, which shall determine its amount and the currency in which the fee is required to be paid.      The international filing fee is payable in favor of the International Bureau and the international search fee is payable in favor of the International Searching Authority concerned.

The necessity of paying different fees in different currencies is explained by the fact that different competent international bodies are entitled to set the fee in any currency convenient for them.

The said fees under Rules 14.1(c), 15.3 and 16.1(f) of the Regulations under the PCT must be paid by the applicant within one month from the date of receipt of the international application by the receiving Office.
