International day of women and girls in ICT

Every year in April, the International Telecommunication Union initiated the International Day of Girls in ICT. Its purpose is to show girls and young women the prospects for professional growth in the field of information and communication technologies. This year, the celebration fell on April 25.

The holiday theme for 2024 is “Leadership,” which emphasizes the importance of strong examples of women in science, technology, engineering and math and aims to promote empowerment, leadership and development in these fields.

Women's participation in ICT brings valuable perspectives and insights, fostering innovation and development in the field. And empowering women contributes to an inclusive and diverse work environment.     

We express our support to women and girls who have chosen the field of information and communication technologies, as well as those who are just starting their professional journey or are interested in this field.
