The new 7th episode of popular science cartoon “IP Stories: Stories from History” unveils the mystery behind the “Black Square” by Kazimir Malevich.

In 1617, Robert Fludd illustrated a black square for his treatise on the origin of the Universe. Three centuries later, Kazimir Malevich created the famous painting “Black Suprematist Square”. This series will answer the key questions, whether it is possible to consider that the great abstractionist violated someone's copyright, and whether “Black Square” is plagiarism.
