On April 26, 2021, within the framework of events dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day, an agreement on the creation of the 12th Belarusian Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) on the basis of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) was signed.

The parties to the agreement were represented by the Director General of the National Center of Intellectual Property Uladzimir Rabavolau and the Rector of BSUIR Vadim Bogush.

In a welcoming address, the Director General of NCIP emphasized the importance of creating a TISC point on the basis of BSUIR for both parties, noting the practical aspects of university’s activities and its innovative mission. “The Technology and Innovation Support Center in BSUIR is one of the most significant projects in the TISC's network: the 6th technological paradigm will be based on information technologies, therefore it is here that the basis point of our economy growth lies”.

It should be noted that Belarus already has a well-established TISCs’ network of 11 points: in the Republican Library on Science and Technology, its regional branches, in the Belarusian State University, Vitebsk State Medical University, Polesie State University, in the Great Stone Industrial Park and NCIP.
