On November 1, 2021, amendments to the following Rules of the Regulations under the Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks entered into force: 3 (Representation before the International Bureau), 5 (Excuse of Delay in Meeting Time Limits), 5bis (Continued Processing), 21 (Replacement of a National or Regional Registration by an International Registration), 22 (Ceasing of Effect of the Basic Application, of the Registration Resulting Therefrom, or of the Basic Registration), 24 (Designation Subsequent to the International Registration), 39 (Continuation of Effects of International Registrations in Certain Successor States) and 40 (Entry into Force; Transitional Provisions).
