Belarus and Russia are planning to intensify cooperation in science, technology and innovation sphere mainly by means of new projects and programs in frames of the Union State. The theme was majorly discussed at the session of the Commission on formation of a unified scientific and technological space of the Union State under leadership of Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus (SCST) Alexander Shumilin and Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Natalya Bocharova.

At the 7th session of the Commission the National Center of Intellectual Property was represented by its first Deputy General Director Alexei Kurman and Head of Legal and Human Resources Department Tatsiana Kavaleuskaya.
In frames of the session its participants considered a wide specter of issues including preliminary list of priority scientific, technological and innovative programs and projects of the Union State and standard provisions concerning the intellectual property rights.
