St. Petersburg hosted the closing ceremony of the XII International Contest “School Patent – Step into the Future!”, the final part of which was attended by the schoolchildren from Vitebsk and Mogilev who successfully passed the regional stages of the contest.

This event has become particularly important for the Republican Library on Science and Technology, since its Vitebsk and Mogilev branches are official representative offices of the contest in Belarus and play a significant role in its organization.

This year, more than 2,000 participants presented their works in 12 regional directorates and 3 international offices. Dozens of experts on areas in focus have thoroughly examined all of them. Participants from Mogilev and Vitebsk were among many talented schoolchildren who won the contest.

Children in their nature are researchers and dreamers. They can offer many interesting developments in various fields: from IT technologies to medicine. The International Contest “School Patent – Step into the Future!” was launched to identify their creative capacity. The competition was supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation, and was included in the list of olympiads and other intellectual and creative events, approved by the Regulation of the Government of the Russian Federation. The main goal of this contest is to disseminate knowledge about intellectual property, engage the youth in the activities undertaken in this field, and enhance creative and intellectual capacities of schoolchildren.
