Today, the closure of the Summer School of the World Intellectual Property Organization (Summer School) took place.
The Summer School was held on July 19 – 30, 2021 as part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the World Intellectual Property Organization, and in accordance with the Strategy of the Republic of Belarus in the Intellectual Property (IP) Sphere.
The event program included 7 sections and 36 topics which covered international and regional patent systems, exhaustion of rights to industrial property objects, creative industries and IP, legal protection of objects created by artificial intelligence, copyright licensing, protection of IP rights, mediation in the IP field, international copyright and the latest trends, etc. Leading IP experts joined the event as speakers.
At the end of the Summer School, a plenary session was held providing for the presentation of group reports and closing ceremony.
The Summer School was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization, State Committee on Science and Technology, National Center of Intellectual Property and Republican Library on Science and Technology.
