Director General of NCIP Congratulates on World Intellectual Property Day
On April 26, the international community annually celebrates World Intellectual Property Day.
This is a celebration not only for talented inventors and authors, but also for those professionals whose activities are designed to protect, enforce and use the creations of the human mind for the benefit of the world community.
World IP Day was established by the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization in 2000 as a tribute to the day that marked the founding of the organization, which later became a global forum for establishing policy, strengthening cooperation, and provision of intellectual property services and information.
Currently, this area is becoming increasingly important for various organizations: small and large, industrial and commercial. Innovation and intellectual property, which forms its basis, are the most important strategic resource and the strongest development tool.
In 2020, the World IP Day campaign is held under the motto “Innovate for a green future”, drawing our attention to the fact that the decisions we make today determine our life tomorrow.
Today, the creation and implementation of "green" energy sources, the harmonization of relations between society and environment are priority areas of inventive activity all over the world. And it is worth noting that the Republic of Belarus actively supports this trend.
The patent system of our country is aimed at creating favorable conditions for the development and spreading of environmentally friendly technologies. Our country has a huge intellectual potential, and at this stage our task is to preserve and enhance it, while creating all the conditions for its successful realization.
The holiday that we celebrate today helps foster a culture based on respect among all citizens for creativity and innovation, which allows us to make a huge contribution to the economic and social development of our society and our country.
