“The Eurasian Economic Commission has launched the online course “EAEU: what is it and how does it operate?” in the Universarium open electronic education system”, stated the EEC press service.

The online course is divided into eight modules developed by more than 30 EEC experts. The first module is devoted to the theoretical basis of economic integration, history, economics, international relations and legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union. The second one covers the frameworks of the Customs Union operation, as well as the tools available for exporters and importers: the institution of an authorized economic operator, a single window mechanism and a single register of intellectual property objects. The third module gives an overview of industrial and agro-industrial policy of EAEU, technical regulation, sanitary and phytosanitary measures.

The fourth module is devoted to the tools created in EAEU for protecting rights of entrepreneurs, in particular intellectual property rights. Some lectures highlight the general rules of competition in cross-border markets, procedure for assessing the regulatory impact and removing obstacles in the domestic market of the Union. The fifth and sixth modules deal with regimes in services trade, common financial and single labor markets. The seventh module addresses common markets for energy, transportation services, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Finally, in the eighth module, course participants will find out what benefits the EAEU manufacturers receive under the union trade agreements with third countries, and how EAEU ensures protection from unfair foreign manufacturers using such tools as anti-dumping, special protective and countervailing measures, digital marking of goods.

“The course will be available 24/7. Upon successful completion of final tests, a free certificate will be issued”, noted the press service.
