The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is developing rules for confirming the country of origin of goods on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union for public procurement purposes. This was announced by the Chairman of the EEC Board Mikhail Myasnikovich at the Council meeting on September 4.

“We pay special attention to the development of rules for confirming the country of origin of goods and maintaining a register of Eurasian industrial products for public procurement purposes. At the moment, out of 221 trade items on the list, 182 have been agreed, the rest are being considered," emphasized Mikhail Myasnikovich.

He added that the Commission proposes to apply the so-called "cooperative principle", when the production of goods requires use of components manufactured in other EAEU states, as well as performance of certain technological operations on their territory. This would contribute to the development of cooperative ties between producers of the Union member states.
