Due to the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (hereinafter – the United Kingdom) from the European Union since February 1, 2020 a transitional provision will be established under the Madrid system for the International Registration of Trademarks on the following conditions. Till December 31, 2020 international applications and registrations containing the European Union indication will also be valid in the United Kingdom (including applications filed from February 1 till December 31, 2020, and registrations made from February 1 till December 31, 2020).
