NCIP representatives attended the 2nd day of Rospatent International Conference

On October 21, the XXIV International Conference of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property of the Russian Federation (Rospatent) "Transformation of IP in the Contemporary Environment" continued its work being held in a hybrid format for the first time.

Deputy Director General Anzhela Plionkina made a presentation on “IP Policy for Universities and Scientific Institutions of the Republic of Belarus”.

The second day of the conference was also marked by extended discussions during sections and round tables. Various issues were considered, including those concerning new possibilities of IP objects registration systems, advantages of modern electronic forms of interaction between patent offices and applicants, their representatives and stakeholders, problematic aspects of industrial design protection, prospects for regional cooperation following the example of Rospatent, and the need to introduce an opposition procedure on industrial designs.
