On November 11, 2020 at 15.00 the Industrial Park "Great Stone" (18 Pekinskii Ave, 7th floor) will host the signing ceremony between the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) and the administration of the Industrial Park "Great Stone" on the establishment of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC).

The event is supposed to be attended by the Director General of NCIP U.Rabavolau, the Head of the "Great Stone" administration A.Yaroshenko and other representatives of the contracting parties.

The international project aimed at creating a TISC network, initiated back in 2009 by the World Intellectual Property Organization, is designed to help build the innovative potential of countries and regions by providing information, scientific and methodological support to users of TISC services in scientific, technical and innovation spheres.

Currently, NCIP, in accordance with the Agreement with WIPO dated October 10, 2016, is implementing a project to create and develop a network of TISCs in the Republic of Belarus, which aims to stimulate innovation and economic growth by simplifying access to technical information and strengthening the ability to effectively use the information obtained.

To date, 8 TISCs operate in Belarus, including those in the Republican Library for Science and Technology, its regional branches, NCIP and the Belarusian State University.

The activities of the new structure established on the territory of the industrial park will facilitate the search for information about existing scientific achievements and will activate the scientific work of young scientists and start-up organizations. Now all interested employees of the Park residents will have free access to patent and non-patent databases of the World Intellectual Property Organization, NCIP and other specialized resources. In addition, if necessary, users will be provided with assistance when searching for some materials or learning to work with databases.

It is planned that in the future the development of the TISC network in the Republic of Belarus will create additional incentives for the effective use of scientific and technical information by young scientists and organizations, as well as their involvement in the innovative development of the country.
