Progress achieved in improving intellectual property legislation in the first half of 2020
In the first half of 2020, the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) drafted 36 regulatory legal acts and 5 international treaties in the intellectual property field, of which the following were enacted (signed, adopted): 1 Law of the Republic of Belarus, 4 Regulations of the Council of Ministers of the Republic Belarus, 1 Resolution of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus.

The regulatory legal acts of particular importance adopted in the period under review are:
- the Law of the Republic of Belarus of May 20, 2020 No. 19-Z "On the Accession of the Republic of Belarus to the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled";
- the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated May 22, 2020 No. 303 "On Amendments to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1609 dated November 29, 2011", providing for amendments to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1609 dated November 29, 2011 “On Collective Management of Economic Rights”.
