Vladimir Makei deposits with WIPO the instrument on Belarus accession to the Hague Agreement

On April 19, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei has met with the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization Daren Tang to deposit an instrument of accession to the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs.

“Accession to the third international system of intellectual property rights registration is aimed at improving business climate, promoting commercialization of innovative products by companies, as well as increasing the country’s economic attractiveness for foreign investors”, the minister noted.

On April 9, 2021 the Head of State signed the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On the Accession of the Republic of Belarus to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs”.
