On July 22, 2020 a video conference on collective rights management was held.

The event was attended by the experts representing the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) – Ms. Anita Huss-Ekerhult, Counsellor, Copyright Management Division, and Mr. Oleksandr Shevchenko, Program Officer, Department for Transition and Developed Countries (TDC), as well as the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) – Ms. Ekaterina Yantikova, Deputy Head of the Legal and Human Resources Department, and other specialists.


The discussion covered the issues of international experience in various areas of collective management, such as collection of remuneration for the use of works for personal purposes and phonograms published for commercial purposes.

Currently, work is underway in the Republic of Belarus to prepare draft Regulations of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus “On Remuneration for the Reproduction of Works and Objects of Related Rights for Personal Purposes” and “On Remuneration for the Use of Phonograms Published for Commercial Purposes”.

WIPO experts highlighted the relevance and significance of the issues discussed and expressed their readiness to provide further assistance to NCIP.
