The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has released the first edition of its Green Technology Book, which focuses on adaptation to climate change, a process that is given as much importance as mitigation measures.

The new policy publication is part of WIPO's long-standing efforts to ensure that innovation, technology, and intellectual property remain at the forefront of the fight against climate change.

«The Green Technology Book» is published in collaboration with the Center and Climate Technology Network (CTCN) and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt (ASTR).

The first edition of the publication focuses on three main areas where addressing climate change is particularly relevant: agriculture and forestry, water resources and coastal areas, and cities. It is a practical guide presenting the 200 technologies currently available as well as advanced technologies that are still under development. This continuously updated publication builds on WIPO GREEN's work to connect providers of environmentally sound technologies with those who need them.
