NCIP continues to provide services in copyright and related rights objects voluntary registration and depositing

Services and information

For the first half of 2022 NCIS has rendered services in respect of 85 objects of copyright, which is 142 % more than for the first half of 2021. There is interest of right holders in registration and deposit of objects, such as musical, literary, art works, works of applied art and design, computer programs.

Within the framework of registration and depositing services, authors, performers and other right holders submit a copy of the object and necessary materials to NCIS for storage, and then receive a certificate, which can be used as an additional means of protecting rights in case of their violation.

Services are rendered in respect of the following objects of copyright (works):

• literary;
• scripts;
• musical (with and without text);
• audiovisual;
• works of visual art;
• works of applied art and design;
• works of architecture, urban planning and landscape art;
• photographic;
• relating to geography, cartography and other sciences;
• computer programs;
• works of science;
• other works (including databases).

Since April 2022 services are also provided for objects of related rights:

• performances;
• phonograms;
• programs of broadcasting or cable broadcasting organizations.
