An agreement between the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) and the Gomel State University named after Frantsysk Skaryna (GSU) on establishment of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) was signed on November 17, 2022, in Gomel. The agreement was signed by NCIP’s Director General Uladzimir Rabavolau and Rector of the Skaryna State University Siarhei Khakhomau.

The TISC was also established on the basis of the Center of Scientific, Technical and Business Information (TsNTiDI). The relevant agreement was signed by the heads of NCIP and Center of Scientific, Technical and Business Information Dzmitry Shamrau.

In addition a seminar-workshop was held on the basis of the university, during which NCIP experts made presentations for the student teaching staff, employees of scientific and innovation activities of the district and young scientists on current issues of protection and management of intellectual property rights.

The event covered the issues of technology support and organization of TISCs in the Republic of Belarus, patent research as an effective analytical tool for modern challenges, registration of trademarks and geographical indications, introduction into intellectual property circulation, as well as copyright protection of works of science.
