Abstract of the Invention: Assessment of Demand and Use in the Republic of Belarus

The fourth issue of the journal ‘Intellectual Property in Belarus’ features the article «Abstract of the invention: assessment of demand and use in the Republic of Belarus» by Aleksandr Mazanik, (Head of the Patent Documentation and Editorial Department at the National Center of Intellectual Property).

Currently, the materials submitted to the patent office as part of the application for an invention should include, description of the invention, patent formula and the abstract. In this article, the author analyses the expediency of including the abstract as part of the application materials and the demand for it among interested parties within the Republic of Belarus.
