NCIP expert shared his expertise with students of the University of Law, Social and Information Technologies

On April 29, 2021, Belarusian Institute of Law (BIL) – the University of Law, Social and Information Technologies held the event dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day under the motto “IP and SMEs. How to commercialize your ideas”.

The event was attended by the Head of the Division of Registration and Promotion of Industrial Property Commercialization Dzmitry Andryieuski, who held a training on “Topical Issues of Intellectual Property (IP) Commercialization”. In his performance to the BIL students and teachers he covered the issues related to the most effective methods of IP commercialization, their pros and cons, the export of services resulting from the use of IP rights in the Republic of Belarus, the main features of franchise agreements and other relevant aspects of this sphere in this area.

The event’s agenda included the students’ competition on the topic “IP as a resource of entrepreneurial activity”. Students reviewed the experience of successful Belarusian entrepreneurs who built their business based on the use of IP rights. The most outstanding presentations were awarded with prizes.

The event was a success and certainly contributed to the intensification of scientific research in the IP sphere.
